Job Description
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the full spectrum of Business Development operations for Kuwait & the entire Gulf region, which includes all aspects of strategizing, implementing, managing, and monitoring activities related to Business Research & Development, Sales & Marketing, and Relationship Management.- Conduct business research and develop strategic plans to ensure the current and future profitable growth of the organization.
- Formulate strategically focused marketing plans to drive market demand and thus achieve business targets and gain a competitive edge in the region.
- Drive sales growth and ensure achievement of subsidiaries sales’ targets by developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
- Ensure high retention rate and long-term relationships with customers by directing the quality of service and technical approach provided by the region to customers.
- Provide a definite direction and support to the company’s day-to-day operations by developing policies, procedures, guidelines, and process manuals and ensure compliance of the subsidiaries within the region.
- Manage Business Development-owned software to ensure full control of the functionality, access security, information, and transactions running in the system.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Marketing, Business Management, or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in Business Development.
- Proven experience in managing and growing a business in the South Asia region is an advantage.
- Experience working for a start-up company or pioneering a business unit is an advantage.
- Ability to translate corporate and business unit goals and objectives into realistic marketing and sales plans.
- Excellent computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent bilingual skills in both spoken & written English, Sinhala/Tamil.
- Problem-solving attitude with an ability to multi-task.
- Professional appearance, self-confident, highly independent, assertive.
- Team player with profound leadership and interpersonal skills.
