Job Introduction
Our client, a leading “IT Services & Solutions” company is looking for an experienced “Software Architect” to join their team in Calgary immediately.
Job Description
- Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
- Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of the desired product.
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
- Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
- Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to the development team.
- Oversee the progress of the development team to ensure consistency with the initial design.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
- Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.
- Approve final product before launch
Job Requirements
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field or equivalent qualification with 10+ years of experience.
- 8+ years of experience working in Software Engineering in a similar capacity.
- Broad knowledge of different technologies and technical stacks.
- Broad knowledge of persistence methodologies.
- Experience in different domains.
- Experience in cloud services.
- Understanding of performance engineering.
- Understanding of capacity planning.
- Strong Technical and Business stakeholder management.
- Good understanding of Scrum and Agile practices.
- Ability to learn other coding languages and technologies in a short time.
- Effective time-management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to directly communicate with clients overseas as required.
- Team player, a leader with the ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
