Job Introduction
One of our prestigious clients in Saudi Arabia who is a “Contracting Services Company” is looking for an experienced “Bending Machine Operator“ to join them immediately.
Job Description
- Sets up and operates machine to bend metal structural shapes, such as bars, rods, angles, pipes, and tubes, to angle or contour specified by work order, drawings, templates, or layout: Selects and bolts holding clamp, die block, and guide clamp to the machine.
- Positions and clamps end stops on the machine to set the specified location of the bend.
- Inserts or screws plug stops into guide wheel to set specified degree of bend.
- Positions workpiece against the end stop.
- Locks holding clamp and guide clamp onto the workpiece.
- Lubricates workpiece with oil.
- Starts turntable that draws workpiece through guide clamp around die block until stopped by plug stops or until dial indicator points to a specified degree of bend.
- May slide mandrel into tubing instead of using guide clamp.
- May preheat workpiece, using hand torch or heating furnace.
- May use a hand-powered bending machine for short runs.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of metal properties, lubricants, operational sequences, and machine programming.
- 0-3 years experience as a Bending machine operator in the metal manufacturing industry.
- Measuring equipment and machine settings.
